Why is my Kindle not switching on?
I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue with my Kindle recently—it simply will not switch on. I’ve tried pressing the power button multiple times, but nothing seems to happen. I don’t recall dropping it or causing any physical damage. The screen remains completely black and unresponsive. This is particularly troubling as I use my Kindle frequently for reading and it has always been reliable. I’ve even ensured it has been charged using a functional outlet and cable, but there’s still no sign of life. I’m really not sure what is going on and I’m worried that I might permanently lose access to all my stored books and notes.

One possibility is that the battery is entirely drained. This can occur if the Kindle hasn’t been used for an extended period. Plug your Kindle into a charger and leave it for about 30 minutes. After that, try pressing and holding the power button for 20 seconds. This should typically reboot the device.
